Aktion Club donates 2 wheelchairs to Vietnam children

On Wednesday, September 28th, two members of Aktion Club donated money on behalf of the North and South Aktion Clubs to Laverne Bissky of No Ordinary Journey Foundation. The club volunteered at Books Between Friends to raise money for No Ordinary Journey.

Together, they raised enough money to donate two wheelchairs to children in Vietnam who have Cerebral Palsy!

Way to go Allison & Albert!

“No Ordinary Journey Foundation’s principle is to bring hope and dignity to children with Cerebral Palsy (CP) in Vietnam and around the world. We accomplish this by educating parents and medical professionals on the management of CP as well as providing specialized equipment to young children with CP. We also rely heavily on the generosity of incredible local Vietnamese volunteers for translation, interpretation services and general support. Our success to date has largely been attributable to our friends – the Vietnamese volunteers.”

No Ordinary Journey’s mission is ‘To Revolutionize the Care, Treatment, Understanding and Acceptance of Children and Young People With Cerebral Palsy in Vietnam.’
