What We Do

Melissa is an Associate General Counsel with the University of Calgary, overseeing litigation, student appeals and policy matters.  She has practiced law for two decades, primarily in litigation, administrative and health law.  Melissa joined the Board in 2023 and is excited to give back to Between Friends after her son has benefited from years of attendance at Camp Bonaventure.  Melissa is a proud autism mom, who is a strong advocate for inclusion, services and programming for kids with special needs.  “Between Friends’ Mission and Values aligns with my own, and I love to see them foster a community which is more inclusive and caring.”
