The Harry and Martha Cohen Foundation is a private family foundation that strives to promote the well-being of citizens regardless of race, colour or creed. Their focus on social services and youth development has driven their support of Between Friends for over ten years. Their generous contributions help us subsidize our programs so they are widely accessible for our families and help us offer additional fee assistance when needed.
In 2017, our Fee Assistance & Subsidies program is also supported by The Committee of 10,000, a University of Calgary Student Union initiative that collects a small levy from 27,000 undergraduate students and donates them to charitable organizations in Calgary. The Committee aims to build relationships with the community outside of the U of C and is entirely formed of students who choose the grant recipients each year. Between Friends is grateful to be a recipient! We wish to thank both the Harry and Martha Cohen Foundation and The Committee of 10,000 for their support in helping us provide affordable programming for our eager members.
